The usual affair... travel is increased to 140 mm to match the fork while progression sits at 31%. Perfect for getting a little rowdier without having to step to a different frame. The link comes with bearings and retaining rings already installed, so it's a direct swap onto your bike. 

Adding ramp to your leverage curve has advantages for aggressive riders or riders riding certain types of terrain. Namely trails with lots of chatter mixed in with large compressions. The extra ramp lets you get the bottom out resistance you need without having to compromise on sag or run a stiffer than ideal damping tune. Plus, you can set the shock up to be more linear so that rebound speed is more consistent across full travel when compared to volume spacers.
